A GENRE killing xc bike
This is what we can do with short travel and our newly configured Switch Infinity. It transcends the weight-weenie, uphill only models and replaces it with a precision riding bike. If some people assume it's a downhiller's XC bike, whatever… Call it what you want. For us, it's simply the bike we always wanted to build. The SB100.
We redesigned the Switch Infinity specifically for 100mm of travel - it's lighter and tucks neatly behind the seattube. There is no performance compromise with the compact Switch mechanism. It utilizes the same proven Fox Racing bushing, seals, and Kashima stanchions.
CLEAN LINES ALLOW SPACE FOR AN INTERIOR WATER BOTTLE MOUNT AND LONGER SEATPOST DROPPERS.
The new Switch Infinity design allows space for an uninterrupted seattube, accommodating longer dropper seatposts and a water bottle mount in the front triangle.
INSTEAD OF CHASING WEIGHT ON THE BUILD, WE SPEC'D THE BIKE AS WE TESTED IT.
Instead of chasing featherweight on the build, we spec'd the bike as we tested it - Fox Transfer post, Maxxis 2.3 tires, and 180mm front rotor. It's still light, but also right. Our pro rider, Geoff Kabush, will be defending his BC Bike Race title on this rig.
